ABSTRACT

In the introduction to this book it was noted that there are various possible causal factors that may help to explain the evolution of policy, and most especially evidence of significant policy continuity, between the administrations of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. Following from this and the substantive discussions of the six key foreign policy areas covered in the intervening chapters, the task in this conclusion will be to review the suggested causal factors and weigh the evidence accrued in the intervening chapters in order to determine their relative overall significance in influencing and shaping actual US policy.
