ABSTRACT

X INTRODUCTION Th e producing discipline varies widely in scope and degree, not only from studio to studio but also from project to project. In the simplest terms, a producer oversees a project’s development budget and schedule. Th e position is organizational by defi nition, and therefore heavily dependent on project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project , JIRA Software ) and practices (e.g., Scrum, Agile) to coordinate disparate sets of data related to personnel, milestones, and timelines into a larger picture that visualizes everything from workfl ow to profi t margin.
