ABSTRACT

The Ethnograph is an elaborate program with many screens and menus. That may sound intimidating, but the program is not confusing to work with. It is well structured, and each screen presents all the information needed to perform the tasks at hand, or go on to the next screen. Getting acquainted with The Ethnograph is much like getting acquainted with a powerful word processor. It doesn’t take much time or effort to begin working with it, just some familiarity with its basic structure and terminology. Only with experience, however, will the researcher become fully aware of the program’s potential.
