ABSTRACT

This book is about inclusive education, diversity and values. We hope it will be a valuable resource for all those involved in learning and teaching, and the development of inclusive education. In the process of editing and contributing to this book we have focused, in particular, on the diverse roles of teaching assistants in supporting inclusion. However, we have become more aware than ever of the importance of collaboration and discussion between all those involved in the development of inclusive learning communities. We hope this book will be of great value to teaching assistants and teachers working together, and support co-operative working and shared opportunities for discussion and planning.
