ABSTRACT
The study of architectural history is fascinating and has been pursued by scholars over centuries. From such study emerges a deep understanding of buildings; how they were formed, where they were sourced and what inspired them. Over time architects have revisited the past and adapted and re-used the design ideas of their predecessors. It is therefore crucial to understand the sources of these ideas.
