Introduction

While the ancient civilisations we examined in Part 2 were the foundations and influenced later architectural styles, it has really been in the last 600 years that these design influences were taken and used in the design of the buildings which are evident in our towns and cities today. This part will examine these architectural developments from the Renaissance to the present day.
