F o r example, a univers i ty degree course may be ind iv idua l i zed i n the sense that the student may choose from a wide range of credit courses, i n order to adapt the content and objectives of the course to his o w n needs and interests. A t a lower , more detailed level , however, there may be very little i nd iv idua l i za t ion i n some of the credit courses. O n c e the course is chosen, the student follows the same sequence of units and lessons as a l l the other students. I n other words , the overal l inst ruct ional p lan (Leve l 2 ins t ruct ional design) does not offer m u c h in-bui l t i nd iv idua l i za t ion .
