ABSTRACT
In Britain Gordon Pask in London and the author, while at Lancaster, have supervised extensive programmes of research concerned with how students learn. Pask and his colleagues have concentrated on experimental procedures often monitored by a computer, supplemented by the use of psychological tests and inventories. The Lancaster research groups started with an emphasis on large scale surveys, but greater use has subsequently been made of in-depth interviews.
