ABSTRACT
In this chapter I examine Irigaray’s writing about the ways in which scientific
thinking defines the physical world and the sexed subject. In addition, I suggest
that her interrogations of mathematics-and physics-based disciplines raise
important questions about the role of science, which are also relevant for the
design and interpretation of architecture.
