ABSTRACT

Memory is important in all aspects of study and, indeed, of daily life. In Chapter 4 we looked at ways of organising yourself so that you could reliably remember your lecture timetable and study schedule. In this chapter, I shall suggest memory strategies for:

1 remembering non-routine activities; 2 remembering where you have put things; 3 following instructions and explanations; 4 remembering what you have read; 5 note-taking in lectures; 6 giving presentations in seminars.
