ABSTRACT

As was noted earlier in the book (Chapter 2), dyslexia and dyspraxia are on a continuum of difficulties, and, therefore, all the advice so far given in this book should be helpful to both dyspraxic and dyslexic students. However, as dyspraxia is generally less well understood than dyslexia, it will be useful to devote a chapter specifically to this topic. I’ll begin by reminding you of the main areas of dyspraxic difficulty, and then look in detail at strategies for dealing with these difficulties. I’ll also give advice on assessment, and on other conditions which may be associated with dyspraxia.
