ABSTRACT
This chapter is divided into two main sections. The first deals with descriptive analysis and outlines three main ways of doing descriptive analysis using tables, graphs and summary statistics. The second section explains the use of two types of inferential statistics-significance tests and interval estimates. The outline of both descriptive and inferential analysis distinguishes between the use of these methods for nominal, ordinal and interval-level variables.
