ABSTRACT

In the Autumn term, 1994, Riverside school carried out a small project to try and enhance community links. This was a natural extension of the Fairness project, because it has been becoming clearer to both of us just how important home and community links are to a school which is trying to work in fairness to children. The project is called ‘Right up your Street’. It is described in this chapter in a set of extracts from letters written by Carol to a friend of hers who teaches in Denmark, and extracts from the report she wrote to the Greater Nottingham Business Partnership which funded the project.
