ABSTRACT

One of those chosen was a contractor offering building and civil engineering contracting, design and facilities management services. The contractor engaged mainly in collaborative-type contracting where negotiated continuing partnerships were available. They were also involved in joint ventures such as PFI procurement where involvement in managing real estate for the client was longer term. In this organisation the environmental manager responsible for co-ordinating CSR reported directly to the board and had developed a range of supportive training materials, diagrams and employee handbooks. The CSR report was easily available on the shareholder website. The programme was associated with getting project managers and employees on board who could also motivate others to work with stakeholders.
