ABSTRACT
Funny, isn’t it – we are approaching a sort of ending, and I’m writing a final chapter under pressure, as the publisher’s deadline looms large. For people with a ‘Perceiving type preference’, without that ‘last minute’ nothing would ever get done! But, by now, you know I believe in cycles and spirals, and we have come full circle with the SOAR process. It is time to review, take stock of results achieved, and identify next steps for further development. You and your students may have assembled your Self-MAP for use in various contexts – both as a map and a compass to find direction. Job-seekers may even have landed that dream job which they barely glimpsed at the start of the process. If they have, they are exceptional, because all the evidence shows that many graduates leave university without a firm destination lined up.
