ABSTRACT
31.1 The EC Transparency Directive 8115 came into effect in the UK on 20 January 2007. The Directive covers a wide spectrum of issues ranging from dissemination of information, notification of major shareholdings, and new requirements on the content and timing of periodic financial information such as annual reports and half-yearly reports.
