ABSTRACT

The mental quadrant of the ISIS Wheel is where clients express their thoughts and beliefs about their sexual experiences. It includes imagination, intuition, memory, dreams, and fantasies. It includes intentions, wishes, anticipations, and expectations. In its most positive aspects, the mental ISIS experience is characterized by illumination, an open mind, increased understanding, and expanded beliefs about sexual possibilities-at any age, whether or not your clients have partners. Embedded in the mental aspects of sexual experience are some basic questions about sexual identity, orientation, and expression that may determine the course of therapy-as well as the course of a client’s life.
