ABSTRACT

It is widely recognized by sex therapists that addressing sexual performance alone is not always enough to help our clients. This book expands the field of sex therapy beyond frequencies of intercourse, orgasm, and other activities we can count and measure. It looks beyond behavioral treatments and pharmaceutical interventions to invite you and your clients to explore sexual health rather than focus on what is wrong. It offers dynamic language you can use to open discussion with your clients even if you are not specifically trained as a sex therapist. It suggests multiple ways you can engage individuals and couples in their own process of growth so you do not find yourself working harder than your clients.
