ABSTRACT
This paper provides a summary of the information in Wohlers Report 2007, a 220-page, softbound publication. The report offers a worldwide review and analysis of additive fabrication (a.k.a. rapid prototyping). The technology encompasses modeling, prototyping, pattern making, tooling, custom and replacement part manufacturing, short-run production, and series production. The report covers the growing range of applications and technologies, as well as the challenges that organizations face when trying to understand and make use of this fast-developing technology. This annual study has established a tradition of covering all facets of additive fabrication, including business, product, market, technology, research, and application.
