ABSTRACT

A notion of needs, including those of the poorest, is central to the concept of sustainable development. Everybody should be able to enjoy the benefits of growth. Therefore, social aspects and solidarity are essential for sustainability. Furthermore, because future generations should be able to have access to natural resources, the environment should be protected and maintained.
