ABSTRACT

Globalization, as I have tried to demonstrate, is generally discussed in terms of the expansion of free markets, or of the spread of democracy, or the increasing hegemony of American-style media, i.e., in economic, political, and cultural terms. Much computer ink is injected into these topics, a copious literature exists on them and on related subjects. Needless to say, much debate still surrounds the role they play in globalization. The latter itself is hotly debated as to its definition. Such debates and discussions are all extremely worthwhile. What is given less attention is the subject of morality.
