ABSTRACT
Albert and Samuel the Talking Chimps were a sensation. Their proud trainer,
Felicity, had taught them to use sign language, and the little fellows were now able
to use as many signs as a five-year-old human child might know words. It was
debatable, though, to what extent they really understood concepts. Conversations
typically went something like:
Hello Albert
Hello Felicity
Do you want some bananas?
