ABSTRACT
This is a version of the well-known traditional story of Jack and his magic beans. It has been written with the idea of sharing the text in mind. There are refrains and repeated phrases for the children to join in, while the vocabulary itself is well chosen for developing the children's language skills. The illustrations lend themselves to discussion and exploration.
