ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the design of specific educational resources is examined. Resources can be variously defined, but in this context they are perhaps best understood in comparison to books and other print-based artefacts that are used conventionally as educational resources. Thus at one level we may understand these resources as physical or digital objects that need to be stored, classified, accessed and used, while at another we may wish to understand how best to structure and create individual resources to ensure that they successfully underpin the learning process.
