ABSTRACT

Every year, 8500 people in the UK will have a subarachnoid haemorrhage (a leakage of blood over the surface of the brain) ± that's about one person every hour. Of those 8500 people about half will survive. This book is about some of their experiences and their journeys of recovery. Subarachnoid haemorrhage is an acute brain injury, so we start by looking at what our brains may mean to us.
