ABSTRACT

The course of Omani politics, culture and history is very eccentric. The key to this eccentricity lies indisputably in the way Ibadhism thinks and operates. As an ideal in the early days and in times of adversity, with experience of power in the age of maturity and as a heritage in the present time, Ibadhism is identified with Omani history and is an intrinsic part of it.
