ABSTRACT
On 19 April 2003, Linley Sambourne House, 18 Stafford Terrace reopened to the
public after nearly three years of restoration and refurbishment (Figure 3.1).
The process yielded a great deal of new information about the house and its contents,
and afforded an opportunity to reconsider how it is presented and understood.
