Summary: In two counties in China, agricultural expansion and commercial logging are destroying habitat of the giant panda and the Yunnan snub-nosed monkey. Deforestation is the result of limited economic opportunities and government policies that have led to unproductive agricultural expansion and created a heavy dependence on commercial logging.
