Institutional inclusion and exclusion of extreme right parties

Since the 1980s, many parliamentary elections in different European countries have clearly demonstrated that the extreme right is making an electoral revival. The most dramatic break with the post-1945 European tradition concerns the fact that, in some cases, extreme-right parties have become coalition partners with conservative parties in national government.
