ABSTRACT
Once the original sound tracks have been edited along with the pictures, the moment arrives for 'audio sweetening' or 'dubbing'. It is rare that a production can be transmitted or distributed without some form of audio processing. There are inevitably some sound 'bumps' within the course of an edited programme, and voice-overs, effects and music may need to be added to add interest and atmosphere.
