Filipina women as domestic workers in Paris: a transnational labour market enabling the fulfilment of a life project?

In order to develop these two points, I will first briefly present the status of women in the Philippines from a historical perspective. Using life narratives I collected, I will then analyse why and how these women migrated and describe the emigration system the Filipino government organized. After that, I will focus on some elements of the life trajectories of Filipinas I interviewed in Paris, in order to show the way they exemplify careers that I choose to analyse in entrepreneurial terms.
