ABSTRACT
Location: The Capitoline Hill (in Italian Il Monte Capitolino) is just west of the center of the old city. To the southeast it looks over the Roman Forum toward the Colosseum; to the northwest, on the side from which it is now most easily approached, are the busy Piazza Venezia and Via del Teatro di Marcello.
