ABSTRACT
Location: The Rialto district is located at the topographical center of Venice, on the right bank of the Grand Canal. The Pescheria (fish market), Fabbriche Nuove and Vecchie, and Erberia (fruit and vegetable markets) follow the bend in the canal's S-curve. The Ponte di Rialto (Rialto Bridge) spans the canal at this point, linking the market area with the Fondaco dei Tedeschi, on the left bank.
