ABSTRACT
Location: In southern Spain, 250 miles south of Madrid and 160 miles west of Seville. The Mediterranean coast is 50 miles south of the city. The Sierra Nevada mountain range, which lies immediately to the south, contains Spain's highest peak, Mulhacen (more than 11,000 feet), and Europe's highest road.
