Andrew Quick (AQ): How did you first start working on Frank Dell’s The Temptation of St. Antony?
Elizabeth LeCompte (EL): I think it started with Ron (Vawter) and Peter Sellars. Peter Sellars picked the Flaubert text. He thought we could get some arts funding if we said that we were working on it together, if he co-directed it with me.
AQ: From watching the early rehearsal tapes, you and Peter Sellars were initially working separately on some choreographic sections.
