ABSTRACT
This chapter is part of wider research project on 'The Boundaries of Welfare. European Integration and the Territorial Restructuring of Social Protection', which the author is carrying out with the support of the Research Unit on European Governance (URGE) of the Collegio Carlo Alberto in Moncalieri, Turin.
