Cast your eyes around; it won’t be long till you see . You might even be wearing something that bears it. Nike has built such a formidable presence in the sports and leisure industry that it’s ubiquitous: everywhere at the same time. It’s impossible to find a major sports event anywhere in the world that does not bear the Nike imprimatur, either as a competition sponsor, or the supplier of footwear and apparel, or as an advertiser at the competition venue. It’s equally as impossible to visit a major city anywhere in the world where there aren’t dozens of stores that sell Nike products. Most of them will have mini-department stores called Nike Towns that carry nothing but Nike. The millions that wear or carry Nike products presumably think this is a good thing. Others don’t.
