ABSTRACT

Daniel was an industrial relations manager in the motor industry. He had a deserved reputation for handling the pressure well of what at times were heated and tense negotiations about pay and conditions. But after the death of Bob, a friend who was also a colleague, Daniel became very low, finding it hard to concentrate and maintain his motivation to the point where his boss suggested it might be useful for him to see a counsellor. Daniel agreed and three strands emerged from the counselling, helping him regain his focus and energy.
