ABSTRACT

Anyone who is still hungry for facts about the Japanese economy will find this a meaty and satisfying volume, full of detail about the kyoryokukai of the suppliers to Toyota and Nissan, about the shareholding structure of Boone Pickens’ takeover target, Koito, about the Kyoto kohaba dye industry and many other nooks and crannies of the Japanese economy. Whether the reader will find equally satisfying the argumentation which, in bulk terms, dominates over these descriptions is a different matter, however.
