ABSTRACT
Education for sustainability (EFS) or education for sustainable development (ESD) are vitally important notions for both formal and informal education. EFS can be related to several aspects of the formal, statutory curriculum: citizenship, geography, science, technology, history, economics, and politics (to name a selection); it also relates to informal education and action outside school.
