Did you know that it is the tenth anniversary of the national curriculum? Although it was introduced by the 1988 Education Act, it was actually in September 1989 that 5-year-olds stepped on to the eleven-year conveyor belt for the first time. That same cohort of pioneers is just starting GCSE courses.
