ABSTRACT

Action learning sets have a life which comes to an end with the conclusion of the cycle of meetings agreed at the outset. Action learning sets have a predetermined length of life and their ending date is likely to be fixed from the start. Even when the set is reconvening for a further series of sessions, these will effectively be a new set. The set members will need to finish off their engagement in the first set before moving on to the new set, where new conditions and ground rules may emerge with different patterns of working, timings etc.
