ABSTRACT
The following sections describe the features of various types of teaching and learning technologies and their role in engineering education. Where possible these are illustrated with extracts from case studies or literature reports of reallife use of an example of this type of resource in UK higher education. Many of these extracts are taken from case studies produced by the EASEIT-Eng project so it is worth providing some background to this project first.
