ABSTRACT
This final chapter first seeks to draw together core conclusions which emerge from the foregoing chapters into a tentative thesis concerning surfing as an embodied, cultural practice, and second, outlines a range of directions for future research into the socio-cultural and embodied dimensions of surfing.
