ABSTRACT

Sexual maturational factor score was only important in explaining maximal strength. Aerobic fitness was only slightly influenced by adiposity. With only four covariates, bone age, chronological age, calf girth and medial calf skinfold, 68% of the variability of the observed “handgrip strength and speed” was explained and, if the model is well adjusted, predicted values will have a standard error of around 6 kg for handgrip and 0.15 seconds for speed. The CA was the most important covariate for the CMJ.
