ABSTRACT

There has been no really effective conceptual breakthrough in team ball games, particularly in soccer, since the publications of Mahlo (1969), Teodorescu (1965, 1977), and Bayer (1979). Nevertheless there have been some very interesting contributions from Menaut (1983), Gréhaigne et al. (1989), Konzag (1990, 1991), Moreno (1994), Garganta (1994, 1997), Gréhaigne and Godbout (1995), Gréhaigne, Bouthier and David (1997), and others.
