ABSTRACT

The kicking effectiveness of a group of 187 physically active children (106 males and 81 females), and of 31 adults who were used as controls, is shown in Figure 2. The Spearman’s rho coefficients between scores of mechanical effectiveness and age of the children were -0.020 and 0.426* for knee flexion and 0.317* and 0.340* for ball speed, for males and females, respectively (*=significant; P<0.05).
