ABSTRACT

Nevertheless, because of release velocities similar to at least two other studies, the skill of the throw-in was judged similar to that which would be conducted in a game situation and this meant that the upper and lower arm segment kinematic and kinetic characteristics could be reported as typical values for this skill. In general, values were all greater for the run-up throw compared to the staggered throw, supporting the preferred use of this variant of the skill.
