ABSTRACT
In their call for philosophy of management in 2001, Laurie and Cherry identified six areas to be included in its scope:
presuppositions of management theory and practice;
concepts at the core of management;
representations of management and the managerial myths informing management theory;
management methodologies;
the relevance and applicability of philosophical techniques and skills;
the application of philosophical disciplines to issues facing managers.
