ABSTRACT
Because teaching is such a complex and challenging process with no ‘best way’ to teach young children, it requires that teachers actively involve themselves in the process of seeking solutions to the problems and issues that continually arise. This active involvement can be regarded ‘as a form of action research’ (Stremmel, 2002: 62).
